Julie Hernandez

Julie H. Hernandez, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her professional interests focus on monitoring and evaluation of health interventions in low-income settings. She has technical expertise in Geographic Information Systems and digital data collection, and her areas of research include international family planning, healthcare coverage and access to care, emergency and post-emergency situations, and community-based interventions. She currently serves as PI and Co-Pi on multiple research and programmatic projects aimed at strengthening access to family planning services in the DR Congo.
