With one of the largest populations in Sub-Saharan Africa of 44.2 million, and estimates that the population will increase by another 13 million by 2025, Kenya faces profound environmental challenges due to high population growth, with subsequent risks to the population’s overall health status.[1]

AFP’s in-country partner is Jhpiego.

Jhpiego works to increase political will to invest in quality family planning and bring about policy change to allow trained volunteer community health workers to offer injectable contraceptives.
