Advance Family Planning Partners Meeting 2020

Advance Family Planning (AFP) will hold its annual partners meeting in Uganda this year. The aim of the 2020 meeting is greater synergy among AFP partners and collaborators in working to fulfill the Family Planning 2020 vision through increased political and financial support for family planning. AFP will welcome collaborators from more than a dozen countries.

OBJECTIVES                                                                                                                                         

• Enhanced vision of sustainability of effective advocacy at all levels of decision-making, graduation of geographies, and future of family planning advocacy beyond 2022
• Shared AFP priorities for 2019 with a focus on greater local ownership of the family planning agenda and spread of AFP SMART and other advocacy tools
• Shared understanding on mainstreaming SMART advocacy within and beyond AFP’s partners, collaborators, and government allies
• Greater understanding and strategic communication of advocacy’s contribution to outcomes and impact and lessons learned
