In a country of 35 million, 39% of married women in Uganda use contraception, yet 28% of married women who would like to delay or prevent childbearing are not using contraceptives. [1] In 2014, the Government of Uganda pledged to ensure voluntary, quality family planning information and services for its people.

AFP’s in-country partners are Reproductive Health Uganda and Partners in Population and Development Africa Regional Office.

They work closely with the national and subnational government to improve the distribution of reproductive health commodities and increase access to family planning services sustained funding at the national and district levels.
