Arsene Binanga

Dr. Binanga is a medical doctor and the Country Director for Tulane University’s family planning program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He is also the Advance Family Planning representative. Prior to joining Tulane, Dr. Binanga worked for Georgetown University’s Institute for Reproductive Health as DRC Country Director and introduced and scaled up the Standard Days Method for pregnancy prevention. While working with Georgetown University, Dr. Binanga was elected National Coordinator of the national coalition focused on repositioning family planning in the DRC and led the effort to develop the country’s first strategic plan for family planning, finalized in January 2014.
